Policies & Procedures
Fees Policy
As a Charity, our aim is to keep our fees to a minimum cost. The
income from the Fees and the Government Funding for the over three’s,
is used to pay wages and the day-to-day running costs of the Pre
School.
Billing & Payment
- Fees will be invoiced on the first day of term for each half
term. The bill is then payable within seven days
- If we do not receive payment within this time, we will send
a reminder letter.
- If the fees remain unpaid, in the absence of any exceptional
circumstances, the Management Committee may at its discretion
withdraw the child’s place for the following half term.
- If a parent wishes to cancel a child’s session, they
must give one half terms notice or pay one half terms fees in
lieu of notice.
- We cannot reimburse fees for sessions that a child does not
attend due to holiday & sickness. A child’s place
is kept available for them and so fees continue to be payable
in full.
- If a parent experiences problems with the payment of the fees
they should contact the treasurer at the earliest possible opportunity.
Each case will be dealt with individually and in confidence.
- The currents fees are listed in the Pre School Prospectus,
on the notice board in the Lobby area.
Government Funding
- For those children who are eligible, the Nursery Education
Grant funds up to five 2 ½ hour sessions per week for
38 weeks of the year, divided over three school terms. We shall
inform parents of their child’s entitlement before he
or she becomes eligible
- Where the term is longer than 11 weeks the funded child’s
parents will be billed on the normal scale rates for the session
that are not funded.
Lunchtime Sessions
- Lunchtime sessions must be booked a half term in advance,
at the same time that their Pre School sessions are booked.
This ensures that we have the correct level of staffing for
the number of children attending. These sessions will be billed
at the same time as the Pre School Sessions.
Increasing Fees
- The Management Committee will review the fees on an annual
basis
- Current fees are £12.00
per session (Sep 2008).
- The Management will give one whole terms’ notice to
parents and carers to advise them of any rise in fees. This
applies to Sunshine Club & Mother and Toddler group.
