Our Staff
Fundamental to the high quality of our provision is to have
well-qualified, professional and caring staff. Our Manager, Natalie
Smith, is responsible for the management and organisation of the
pre-school sessions and is currently working towards the Foundation
Degree in Early Years Care and Education due to be completed in
2009.
Our pre-school Supervisor is qualified to Level 3 and is also
our Inclusion Coordinator (INCO) who liases with speech therapists
and other professionals as required in the SEN Code of Practice.
All staff are encouraged to continue their professional development
to raise their level of skills and qualifications through external
training courses in line with the requirements of the Early Years
Foundation Stage.
All staff are CRB checked, have appropriate Social Services Child
Protection training and Paediatric First Aid training.
The committee
All members of the committee are parents, and they work together
with the staff to provide a safe and happy environment in which
children can develop and learn through play. We are very keen
for new parents to feel as much a part of Country Mice as their
children, so we are always delighted when parents become involved.
One of the best ways to do this is to join the committee.
The committee meets in the evening once every half term and is
responsible for the overall management of the pre-school. Even
if you cannot make such a regular commitment, we always need assistance
at our fund-raising events and with individual projects. If you
would like to help out and are able to spare some time, please
speak to a member of staff who will put you in contact with the
Chairperson.
